The renowned Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea highlights 19th century seafaring, both on and off the water. Indulge a love for the sea and all things maritime. The museum features a re-created 19th-century coastal village with historic ships, a working preservation shipyard, and formal exhibit galleries illustrating aspects of America's maritime heritage and featuring the finest examples of contemporary marine art by award-winning artists. The museum is also home to four vessels designated as National Historic Landmarks - the Charles W. Morgan, Emma C. Berry, Sabino and L.A. Dunton.
After the tour of Mystic Seaport, attendees will have time to enjoy Olde Mistick Village. This Early American village is abundant with picturesque settings of flowers, trees, duck ponds, and a waterwheel. Shopkeepers in the village pride themselves on offering some of the most interesting and unique items from all over the world. Tour attendees will have a variety of restaurants to choose from for their dining pleasure.
Comfortable shoes and sunglasses are recommended!
