Learners Have Voice! (PreK-6 Tour)
Wednesday, October 18 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Learner representation and learner voice are central at these Tampa-area schools! During the PreK-6 school tour, attendees will visit two welcoming and inclusive school libraries instilling the notion that we are all #StrongerTogether. These two school libraries embrace diversity with book collections containing high interest, engaging titles which include diverse characters from around the globe in everyday situations. These not silent spaces encourage equity, inclusion, and student voice through makerspaces, student led morning show, book clubs, student literacy and media showcases, and other activities.
An additional registration fee of $45 is required in advance of the event.

Full STEAM Ahead! (K-8 Tour)
Wednesday, October 18 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Discover how these Tampa-area schools are full STEAM ahead! During the K-8 school tour, attendees will visit two school libraries where creativity, technology, and flexibility take center stage. Featuring makerspaces which support student exploration and discovery, learners have access to 3D printers, ozobots, 3d doodle pens, Lego walls, and snap circuits. These collaborative spaces provide a variety of flexible options, providing reading spaces, a morning show studio, or yearbook design workspace and allow learners to explore, create, relax, and prepare for the diverse and evolving world.
An additional registration fee of $45 is required in advance of the event.

The Place to Be! (Middle/High School Tour)
Wednesday, October 18 | 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
These school libraries are the place to be! During the middle/high school tour, you’ll visit two Tampa-area school libraries that learners flock to. These flexible and active spaces are utilized before, during and after school for inclusive clubs, programs, learning, and leadership. Student voice is emphasized – letting learners have a say in the space by helping plan library events and programs and by selecting books for the collection. The learning and growing together philosophy continues with the school libraries’ maker spaces encouraging learners to explore and create; and genrefied collections supporting student research needs and representative of students’ interests and identities.
An additional registration fee of $45 is required in advance of the event.

How to Add a School Tour to Your Existing Registration:
1. Open your email confirmation (subject line: AASL National Conference – Confirmation / Receipt) it was sent from AASL National Conference <donotreply@compusystems.com> at time of your original registration.

2. Under the Registration Online Access section, click ‘click here’ to access your online dashboard:

3. Click the ‘Ticketed Events’ tab on the left-hand side of the screen then click the ‘View/Add a Ticketed Event’ button:

4. From the ‘View/Add a Ticketed Event’ screen you can add tours or other ticketed events. Once added, click save changes and you will be taken to the payment page to complete payment.
